Have Fun…With Paper Plates!

Monday, March 8th, 2010

While paper plates are a cheap, easy, and convenient solution as far as dining related uses go, they can also be fun. You didn’t know that paper plates had a fun side? Well, they do! Paper plates are the perfect companion for having a catch outdoors or doing some laps in the pool or even playing a friendly game of football with some friends. A paper plate can be your new best friend if you let it be…

By now you’re wondering if there’s a little something “off” in my noggin or if I’m just making a funny. I’ll admit, it would be entertaining if I really did believe paper plates could be used for some of the activities listed above due to being entirely delusional, but the truth is that I attempted to make a funny. Perhaps I’ll write from the perspective of one that believes in making a companion out of a paper plate another time, but it’s all business right now!

The truth is that fun can be had with some paper plates. The bummer here is that someone like you, an individual capable of reading and comprehending this, probably won’t be able to obtain any of those fun times. If you haven’t caught on yet, I’m referring to using paper plates as a form of cheap entertainment for children. This is where a very ordinary, every day object like the paper plate shines.

Paper plates are great for “making fun” for children because it’s quite easy to get things in motion, paper plates are cheap, and it’s actually a legitimate activity. There isn’t a set way of going about letting kids have fun with paper plates, but talking in general terms, this kind of activity falls under the area of arts and crafts. A paper plate is where things start, and whatever a child wants to make out of that paper plate is where things end.

Kids can simply draw on paper plates, make faces out of them, add yarn to the mix, glue a bunch of stuff on…there really is no end to the possibilities of paper plate arts and crafts. It’s an incredibly simple and easy activity to set up, and at the same time, it’s something for kids to do. And best of all, it’s on the creative side of things. So, if you’re looking to give some children a unique activity to do, then consider giving them the creative outlet of a simple paper plate. Unfortunately, the day when we can enjoy outdoor physical activities with a lifeless paper plate will never come, but paper plates will always be a cheap solution to a creative activity.

Save Money By Buying Paper Plates In Bulk

Saturday, March 6th, 2010

As with many products (everyday products for the most part), buying paper plates in bulk is going to save you money. And if you plan on buying paper plates online, buying in bulk is a given with most websites (for example, one of the best places to shop for paper plates, Amazon.com). It is because of this that you should seriously consider buying plates in bulk. It’s going to save you money, and your supply is going to last you a longer period of time.

For a lot of different items available for purchase in bulk it seems as though it’s just cheaper to buy smaller quantities. You might think, why would I spend $30 on this kind of product if I can just get what I need for $7? It’s a mentality that works for the time being, but it’s also a mindset that’s costing you money as well. The thing is that you are always going to need a product like paper plates at certain times. You may not need them for the next 2 weeks, but there is going to be a good amount of instances when you will.

At least, this is how it is for most people (I know that’s how things work for me personally). With that said, if you aren’t someone who uses paper plates regularly or semi-regularly, then buying in bulk may not be for you. But even if you aren’t using paper plates all too often, it’s still a good idea to save money buying in bulk. Saving money is saving money.

Whether or not you buy paper plates in bulk depends on one single question, “Do you want to save money?”. However, if you aren’t someone who uses paper plates even semi-regularly, and use this kind of every day product rarely, then the money you would be saving may cancel out all things considered. That fact remains, though, that buying in bulk is the money saving way to go when it comes to an item like paper plates. This is something that most people use relatively often, and therefor could save money by purchasing larger quantities.
